Qal’at al-Bahrain, also known as the Bahrain Fort or Qal’at al-Burtughal. Is one of the unique historical and archaeological forts in Bahrain. Located on the outskirts of Manama. Well known for its ancient capital of the Dilmun civilization. Around 5,00,000 artifacts are discovered by researchers. These sites have been inhabited for over 4,000 years and constructed by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Its unique architectural construction is the key attraction. with thick defensive walls, watchtowers and ancient canals. It also has an on-site museum and archaeological parks.
